Questions contractors ask before hiring us

What it is actually like to work with us. Contracts, cost, process and the questions most agencies avoid.

Do you require a contract?

Short answerYes. Twelve months, then month-to-month with thirty days' notice.

We ask for twelve months because that is honestly how long the work takes to compound. Map visibility tends to move in 60–90 days; meaningful organic lead volume usually takes six to twelve. An agency offering month-one cancellation on an organic program is either doing work that produces nothing durable or expecting you to leave before the bill for real work comes due. We would rather set the expectation correctly than win the signature on a softer term.

What happens if I want to leave?

Short answerAfter twelve months, thirty days' notice and you are done. There is no penalty and no argument.

Your website is released to you free of charge at that point. Your ad accounts, Google Business Profile and analytics were set up in your name from day one, so there is nothing for us to hand back — you already hold them. If you leave before the twelve months are complete, there is a buyout, because the setup work was front-loaded and already delivered.

Do you guarantee results?

Short answerNo, and be careful with anyone who does.

Nobody controls Google's ranking systems, so a guaranteed position is a promise made against something the promiser does not own. What we commit to is measurable growth in leads, visibility and revenue — and to keep adjusting the work until we deliver it. That commitment is real and we will talk through exactly how it is measured on your account before you sign. It is not a number written into a contract, because a number written into a contract by an agency that cannot control the algorithm is marketing, not a guarantee.

Do you work with my competitors? Do I get exclusivity in my market?

Short answerWe limit the number of contractors we partner with in any given market, and we will tell you plainly where we stand in yours.

We do not sell blanket territory exclusivity as a premium feature. What we do commit to: the leads we generate for you are yours — never sold to you and three other contractors the way shared-lead platforms such as Angi and Thumbtack operate. If we are already working with a contractor near you in a way that would affect your program, you hear it before you sign, not after.

What does it cost to work with you?

Short answerThe core program is $2,495 a month with a one-time $5,000 setup. Most clients invest $3,500–$5,000+ a month once paid channels are running.

The core covers one trade, one location, one primary city and ten surrounding cities. Everything beyond that is modular and priced openly: an additional trade is $750 a month, an additional location or Google Business Profile is $500, another ten cities is $500. Google Ads management is $1,500 a month up to $10,000 in spend and 15% above that. Local Service Ads management runs $549, $949 or $1,549 a month depending on call volume. Meta is $750. Full detail is published. our pricing page.

Is advertising budget included?

Short answerNo. Ad budget is separate and paid directly to Google or Meta, not to us.

We never take a margin on your media. Plan on 3–5% of revenue, with roughly $2,000 a month as the practical floor for paid channels to do anything meaningful. Blended cost per lead currently runs about $25–$30 in plumbing and $35–$45 in HVAC before management fees.

What is included in the core program, and what costs extra?

Short answerThe $2,495 core covers the whole organic program for one trade in one market. Paid channels, extra trades, extra locations, extra cities and advanced ROI reporting are priced separately and published.

Included: a conversion-optimized website built, hosted and maintained by us; Search Everywhere Optimization including Google Business Profile and AI visibility work; monthly content and on-page SEO with a syndicated blog post; competitive analysis and an ongoing link and authority campaign; reputation management; NAP and directory cleanup; marketing automation and speed-to-lead follow-up; three hours a month of website changes; KPI reporting, lead review with call recordings and a monthly performance call with a strategist. Add-ons: Google Ads management $1,500/month up to $10,000 in spend then 15% above; Local Service Ads $549, $949 or $1,549 by call volume; Meta $750; additional trade $750; additional location or Google Business Profile $500; each additional ten cities $500; advanced ROI reporting $395. No tier names — the price reflects the work. [LINK: /pricing/]

Why are you more expensive than the agency quoting me $500 a month?

Short answerBecause $500 a month buys a few hours of junior time and an automated report.

The real cost of a cheap program is not the $6,000 you spend, it is the twelve months of market position you did not gain while a competitor compounded theirs. That said, paying more guarantees nothing either. The questions that actually separate agencies are whether they work with contractors specifically, whether they will show you named clients with real numbers, and who is actually touching your account. Ask us those. Ask everyone those.

What actually happens in the first 90 days?

Short answerAccount opened in week one, launch call and internal strategy pow-wow in weeks one to two, website mockup reveal weeks two to four, build and software training weeks four to six, QC and site launch weeks six to eight, then debrief and handover to your ongoing strategist by week twelve.

Local SEO, Google Business Profile and review work starts in week one rather than waiting on the site, and Google Ads is typically live within about two weeks. Map visibility is usually the first visible signal, around 60 to 90 days. The sequence is milestone-driven, so a client who returns content and approvals quickly moves faster than one who does not.

How quickly does everything go live?

Short answerLocal SEO and your Google Business Profile start in week one or two. Google Ads is typically live within about two weeks. A new website launches in roughly 45 to 60 days.

Paid channels go first on purpose, because they produce calls while the organic work compounds underneath. The website takes longer because it is built to rank and convert rather than thrown up in a week — and the profile, review and citation work does not wait for it.

What is your process?

Short answerWe call it the Accelerated Growth Model, and it has three parts: Drive Leads, Maximize Conversion, Optimize Results.

Drive Leads — organic, paid and your existing database. Maximize Conversion — the website, your reputation, and automation with speed-to-lead follow-up, because a lead answered in minutes converts very differently from one answered tomorrow. Optimize Results — total spend, cost per lead by channel, and return, so budget keeps moving toward what is working.

Who will actually be working on my account?

Short answerAn account manager, an SEO strategist, a web developer, a paid search specialist, plus designers and writers.

Two-thirds of what you pay for is the strategy and the people, not the deliverable list. You are introduced to the people running your account during onboarding, and the account manager stays your point of contact rather than handing you to whoever is free.

How often will I hear from you, and what reporting do I get?

Short answerA live dashboard you can open any day, a monthly review call with a recorded Loom walkthrough, and a dedicated Strategic Partner who checks in between calls and is reachable for questions, website edits and campaign changes.

The monthly review covers KPI reporting and a lead review, including call analysis — we listen to the calls to judge which leads were genuinely qualified, what objections came up, and where opportunities were missed. That last part is occasionally uncomfortable and almost always the most valuable half hour of the month, because a good share of “the leads were bad” turns out to be calls that rang out or were never returned. On top of the monthly rhythm there are quarterly and annual planning sessions to set targets and reset the plan rather than just report on it. Advanced ROI reporting, for contractors who want revenue attribution rather than lead counts, is a $395 a month add-on.

Do I get to see the leads?

Short answerYes. Calls are tracked and recorded, and you see every one.

Call tracking is standard on our programs, which means you can hear how your team handled the calls we generated. That is occasionally uncomfortable and almost always valuable — a good share of "the leads were bad" turns out to be calls that rang out or were never returned.

Are we too small to work with you?

Short answerIf you cannot yet answer the phone reliably and get a tech to the door, more leads will not help you.

We would rather tell you that before taking your money. There is a real point below which the honest recommendation is to fix capacity and reviews first. If that is where you are, we will say so on the call.

Do you only work with plumbing and HVAC?

Short answerPlumbing, HVAC and electrical.

The niche is the point. We are not a general agency with a home-services page — the entire company is built around these trades, which is why we already know your seasonality, your call patterns and what a booked job is worth to you.

How many contractors have you worked with?

Short answerMore than 600, and we average 96%+ monthly client retention.

Retention is the number we would look at if we were hiring an agency. It is very hard to fake and it tells you what happens after the sales call.

What if it is not working?

Short answerWe change the plan. That is what the commitment means.

Programs get adjusted — budget shifts between channels, content strategy changes, sometimes the honest finding is that the constraint is not marketing at all but call handling or capacity. We will tell you that even though it is not what an agency is supposed to say.

If you want these answers applied to your own market, we will walk through where you stand and what it would take.
