Craigslist
Craigslist is a really good place to run ads for your business; best of all it's FREE. Free is always good, but free does come with a cost and that is your time. Now if you have used Craigslist in the past you're probably saying, "time, what's so time consuming, you write your ad and submit". True; but...Craigslist works on a system that the newer ads stay on top while the older ads get pushed down. So if you were to place an ad at 9:00AM, by 10:30AM you would be pretty much halfway down the page. Most Internet searchers stop searching after the first few listings. So the time consuming task comes because you'll want to submit your ad multiple times during the day to keep your listing right on top.
The next issue I find with Craigslist is that it's kind of a garage sale mentality and you're most likely marketing to a person looking for a cheaperprice. There's nothing wrong with that, in fact some contractors build their business on a lower end pricing structure. You may not want to spend a lot of time advertising your higher end services like bathroom design. Stick with your lower end services when advertising on Craigslist.
Angies list
Angies list is much different than Craigslist in that it caters to contractors. Angies list is a paid service and consumers hire based on review of others who have used the contractor. Generally contractors that advertise on Angies list are companies that offer great service because just one negative review can turn a lot of consumers off. When a business gets a certain amount of reviews they qualify for a special badge that can be placed on your website. Generally plumbers with this badge tend to attract a lot of business because they provide an excellent and reliable service.
There are a lot of places online where  you can advertise your plumbing business and really drive a lot of traffic to your business.
