As a Plumbing Contractor you are so busy running your day to day that you might forget about the other aspects of your business. Things such as marketing, accounting and education, these are all vital parts of the Plumbing industry and making time for each is crucial.
Just this past weekend we attended the PHCC Flow Expo in Long Beach, California. The show was very busy and packed with lots of interest from local Plumbers. Industry trade shows are great for your business it allows you to get away from the everyday grind and see what's new in the industry as well as educate yourself on new things. I had the great opportunity of meeting a lot of business owners and really learn their wants and needs, this is helpful for both myself and the business owner. Oddly I ran into a few people that told me they work for the company and the boss just told them to go to the show and see what's new. Funny thing is they were not interested in learning anything I had to say but were more interested in grabbing one of my free giveaways. This is sort of a miss on the owners end, industry events are great way to see what's new, learn new ways to help your business and network with others in your industry. So if you get the opportunity take the time to visit an industry event and see what's happening. You might just get that one idea that can increase your business by 25%.
The PHCC is a great association to get involved with, for Plumbing and HVAC professionals it could be the difference in getting that new client you have been looking for.
