There are four metrics that you can measure through call tracking.

 

Metric #1. Number Of Answered Calls Versus Missed Calls  

As mentioned, call tracking helps you find out how many calls came in and from which platform - whether it’s from Google, Facebook, or HomeAdvisor campaigns. In addition to that, you can find out how many new leads are coming in and how many old clients are dialing. 

Call tracking also helps you finetune your operations, as you get to see how many calls get answered and how many calls you and your team missed. Not to mention the duration of each answered call.

 

Metric #2. Keyword Data

This is crucial for your paid marketing campaigns. 

Call tracking can also help you identify which keywords generate the most clicks and bring in more calls to your business, as well as determine which keywords are dead. With this data, you can be more selective of which keywords to use in your marketing.

As they say, “A chain is as strong as its weakest link”. So, you don't want to create a sales gap between your CSRs. 

 

Metric #4. Call Volume

Traffic and clicks to your site build up in time, but call volume is different. That’s why it’s the most important metric to keep an eye on.

Call tracking lets you know how many calls you get for a period of time then compare it with the past numbers. For example, you can find out how many calls you get this week compared to last week and see your performance.

That said, your call volume should be in a general uptrend. If there is inconsistency or decline, you need to find out the flaw in your system.
